Congestive Heart Failure
Congestive Heart Failure is a condition in which the heart can no longer pump enough blood to the rest of the body. Today, nearly five million Americans live with congestive heart failure, which requires frequent medical care and admission to the hospital for treatment. The Congestive Heart Failure Clinic at Jefferson Regional Medical Center can provide assistance and education to those diagnosed with heart failure, to help prevent frequent admission to the hospital and an improved quality of life.
The Congestive Heart Failure Clinic provides education and support to manage this condition at home, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The program consists of a health care team of registered nurses, registered dieticians, behavioral health specialists, and exercise physiologists. Individualized patient and family education is provided in the following areas:

- Fluid and Weight Management
- Nutritional Counseling
- Behavioral Health Counseling
