Marcie S. Caplan Appointed Senior Vice President, Physician Strategy and Program Development

John J. Dempster, president and CEO of Jefferson Regional Medical Center, announced the appointment of Marcie S. Caplan as Senior Vice President, Physician Strategy and Program Development, with oversight of outpatient centers and responsibility for clinical program growth.

Caplan joined the administrative team at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in April 2010, serving as vice president of physician strategy and business with the responsibility of practice growth of primary and specialty physicians. She came to Jefferson Regional with 30 years of healthcare management experience, including eight years as chief operating officer at UPMC Passavant and 22 years at the former South Side Hospital from 1980 to 2002, which became UPMC South Side in 1996. She was appointed chief executive officer of UPMC South Side in 1998.
