PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF WALKING
Jefferson Hills, PA - January 05, 2010

The Health for Her initiative at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will sponsor “Women Out Walking 2010,” an eight-week healthy lifestyle program.

 

Sessions scheduled Tuesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 16 through May 4 will focus on topics such as “Just a Teaspoon of Sugar: Choosing Healthier Foods,” “Strong Women Live Longer: Strength Training” and “Achieving Fitness in Mind and Body.” The program fee is $25, which includes a pedometer.

 

The program will be held in the Jefferson Room, Bibro Pavilion, on the Medical Center’s camapus, 565 Coal Valley Road, Jefferson Hills. Registration is limited. Free parking is available in the Bibro lot. To register, call Community Programs at  412-469-7100.

 

The Health for Her program at Jefferson Regional is dedicated to providing free women’s health education programs to empower women with expert medical information so they can play a more active role with their physician in deciding which health care decisions are right for them.
