Front-line medics, doctors battle drug overdoses as region witnesses rise in substance abuse

Pittsburgh PA - October 2, 2011

Revived overdose patients are advised to let medics take them to a hospital emergency room while the effects wear off. If they accept the help, it gives emergency room physicians or hospital staff to talk with them about their addictions and explain resources that can help.
