Scope of Services
The following surgical services are performed at the Heart Institute at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
- Cardiac Surgery: Coronary artery bypass and valvular surgery including repair/replacement, minimally invasive coronary artery bypass/valvular surgeries, port access coronary artery bypass and valvular surgery, and adult congenital surgery.
- General Thoracic Surgery: Pulmonary resections, chest wall
reconstruction, and diagnostic procedures including bronchoscopy,
mediastinoscopy, mediastinal disease treatment, tracheal surgery,
andthoracoscopy video-assisted procedure (diagnostic/therapeutic).
- Major Vessel Surgery: Ascending, arch and thoraco-abdominal
surgery.
- Peripheral Vascular Surgery: Abdominal aortic aneurysms,
aorto-femoral bypass, femoral-popliteal/tibial bypass, carotid
surgery, endovascular surgery (stent-PTCA).
- Esophageal Surgery
- Pacemaker/AICD
